HowMuch? is a free daily game that asks one deceptively simple question: how well do you actually know what things cost?
Every day at midnight Eastern Time, everyone gets the same five prices to guess — everyday groceries, celebrity fortunes, historic price tags, paychecks and big-ticket splurges. You get one score out of 1,000, a shareable result card, and a verdict you may not enjoy.
All answers are approximate figures drawn from publicly reported sources — government statistics (BLS, Census, EIA), company filings and price lists, industry surveys and major news coverage. Each answer shows its source on the result screen. Prices change over time; treat every number as a close estimate, not gospel.
Most people are confidently wrong about prices — and that's the fun. There's no penalty for a wildly wrong guess, no account to create, and nothing to install. Two minutes a day, then argue about it with your friends.
Found a wrong number? Have a great price question? We'd love to hear it: howmuch.games@protonmail.com.
